We grow up believing that happiness lies behind the finish line.

When I make my film, when I finish my graphic novel, when I have my own studio, when my game is downloaded by thousands, when a producer or representative discovers my talent and takes care of all the things I don't know how to do, making my voice burst onto screens around the world.

This extends to life as a whole: If I had a better salary, if I manage to move and have my own space, if the person I'm attracted to notices me and we build a future together… we believe that when that thing we long for finally happens, we will find happiness.

But this is one of the basic mistakes of existence.
Happiness is not the destination, but the journey.

It is the process that transforms us, that moves us, that makes us feel that life is worth living. It is by moving forward that we find meaning: when we are drawing or creating, when we are doing what we want, when we find what moves us and are able to express it, when we get down to it.

And then, yes: every letter, every stroke, every movement that is brought to life has meaning and gives rise to the joy of knowing that we are capable of creating and improving so we can keep creating.

That is our strength. The true driving force behind creative spaces: the joy of being able to express, create, and produce. What ultimately moves everything forward.

In times when anger and resentment strike us from all sides, embracing the joy of creating is not just a mechanism of resistance: it is the driving force that will change things.

That is the revolution we believe in.

About the Manifesto: Each year we publish a manifesto reflecting the social circumstances and the place we occupy as a community. It also serves as the foundation for developing the creative concept and visual identity of that year's festival.

This time, the manifesto takes a different form: phrases or statements, each expressing the principles we believe in and that support what we do. For that reason, and in an effort to explain each one a little further, we have decided to publish it in parts, with one article dedicated to each statement. Read the first article in the series here.
