Mr. Machín Is the Creative Partner of Pixelatl 2026

Every year, Pixelatl has a creative partner who, based on the manifesto we publish (you can read it here), develops an animated promotional short film from which all the festival's artwork and visual identity are also derived.
What we didn't expect was that, this time, their philosophy and punk spirit would invade every space, take possession of our skeletons, and lead us to see things in such a combative and reckless way.
We're talking about Guadalajara-based studio Mr. Machín, founded in 2013, which defines itself as a bunch of animated punk skeletons.
About Mr. Machín
In some popular areas of Mexico, the word "Machín" is used to describe something that's cool or that you really like. That's at the heart of the studio, which emerged in a classic neighborhood of Guadalajara in 2013 out of a passion for telling strange and radioactive stories and an obsession with drawing, drawing, and drawing some more.
With the idea of never following the conventional path of a traditional animation studio, they live by questioning everything and finding their own way of making animation and creating transgressive characters.

With a spirit of collaboration at their core, they work equally with comic artists, independent artists, record labels, agencies, and brands looking for an unconventional visual identity. They have created music videos, short films, commissioned web series, original intellectual property, and high-impact commissioned pieces. No matter what the project is about, they approach each one with the goal of producing animations that are truly memorable.
Our logo is a robotic skull with its brain exposed: above all, we are humans, creative creatures, artists… and punks.
