Online Panel with the Oscar®-Nominated Directors 2026

Since 2021, during the pandemic, we began organizing— in collaboration with Animation Magazine —an online panel featuring the directors or producers nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. We kept the tradition going through 2024.

Last year, due to scheduling issues, we were unable to coordinate everyone’s availability. But this year, thanks once again to the support of Animation Magazine and Animation Showcase, we’re bringing the tradition back!

The panel will take place next Monday, February 16 at 2:30 PM (Mexico City time) and will be streamed live on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

In addition, as part of the event, you can watch the shortlisted short films online!

Simply visit animationshowcase.com. Access is free, but registration is required (to watch the shorts, sign up with your email and use the password: pixelatl2020. If possible, please include your elatlas.mx profile or LinkedIn under “work profile” to help verify that you are part of the industry).

You do not need to register in advance to attend the panel—just join us at the scheduled time to meet the nominated directors, hear about their journey from creation to nomination, and ask them anything you’d like.
